Its a boy

Sage Allen Livingston finally made his grand entrance...Tuesday morning at 8:05.

He tipped the scales at 10lbs 9ounces and stretched out to 21.5 inches

Sorry for the delay in getting this posted but this little one has kept mommy busy and pretty sore. So today I'll post some pics and tomorrow I will post his birth story.

Nonetheless, he is a strong, healthy boy and we are blessed beyond measure to have a beautiful third child.

Of course, d was the photographer so there is a ton more photos. Will do my best to get them uploaded but I think I need to grab some lunch before my little sager needs to eat again!

Thanks so much for all your prayers. It was a rough ride as you can probably see by the way d's dressed but we are home and doing good just a bit slower than normal!

Its official - made it to my due date.

So I'm 40 wks today. Of course, I have shocked not only myself and the hubs but our entire family and friends. Jumping jacks, running, walking among other things were suggested this morning at church. We did try a walk this morning with some slight running which is horrible right now.

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow at 8:45 so we will see what they say. Secretly I am hoping that my water breaks tonight so we can head to the hospital and deliver this baby prior to another appointment.   A prayer that has been said pretty much every night for the last week or so but God's is good and His timing in everything is always perfect.

So we wait another day...

Meanwhile we are all just as crazy as ever...even daddy!

Waiting this one out

So Daddy and Shadd went golfing this afternoon and Ells and I spent sometime just messing around the house as it is really way too hot for a prego woman. And I mean prego - 40wks tomorrow. I would have never guessed.

Here's some pics from our photo shoot via photo booth on the imac.
Of course, we thought you might enjoy some photos of the big belly - hopefully one last time. Plus aren't the effects fun!

Still Prego...who would ever thought #3 would be my latest so far

So last night I was having pretty consistent contractions so D and I headed to the hospital. We were taken into triage which is our favorite place ever (Not even close as we spent 2 hours in my broken water with Shadd while waiting for a room). Lets just say his birth wasn't ideal but definitely memorable. Well, this little one is on track to have a birth similar I guess. As I am blogging this from my home computer still as prego as ever.

Needless to say after being checked 3 times and waiting to see if I would continue to progress along with walking the halls of Younker and Powell for a few hours while we laughed at the cheesy artwork - we were sent home to see if I could get some sleep. I did.

Yep. Big Fat Bummer. Only to discover that I would have just intermittent contractions today and nothing to write home about or send us back to the hospital yet.

I guess this one has a mind of his/her own...Stubborn little thing.

I will do my best to keep you posted if this one ever does decide to arrive.

Now my sis thinks he/she is just waiting till she is home. Yes. They are moving back to this glorious state and they will be here today. Personally I would be good with a baby born on the 22nd but I thought the 21st sounded good. I am just praying that he/she arrives before I go completely crazy.

We will continue to keep you posted on the saga of this one's entrance to the world. In the meantime, I will just continue to do things like sew Ells a shirt for Easter, surf Pinterest, jump around blogs, and try to get this baby moving.

Practice, practice...

So Shadd and I have been doing preschool since this last fall.  We have loved the curriculum that a friend recommended from a blog called 1plus1plus1equals1.

At first when we started, Shadd and I both struggled big time with cutting. Shadd with the actual task of holding and operating the scissors and me with the patience to help and instruct him to do something so natural to me.

However, today Shaddy cut his entire verse out all by himself. Not one bit of help from mama. Usually I have to hold the paper, open the scissors, etc.

I was so proud. A small moment but so rewarding to know that he is learning.

I know I am super sentimental as my hormones are all over the board since I am very very prego, but my little boy is growing up.

wow...what incredible weather

So the weather has been absolutely beautiful. Almost too hot. In fact, I broke down and turned the air on as this prego mama was sweating to death in the house one night putting my two down for bed.  However, we weren't quite prepared for it so mama had to do some last minute shopping the other night and online. It definitely got me in the mood - for garage sales, sandals, shorts, capris, etc. In fact, D was starting to get a little worried as he saw the receipts coming into our email. What girl can resist a cute new pair of shoes for her daughter and one for herself from piperlime, right?

Well anyways..each Sunday after church we love to play outside as a family til lunch. We even let them keep their sunday attire one. Shadd is still sporting his name tag too.

Of course, you have to get a pic of Dad doing 100 dogs, as our kiddos call them. Note the tongue out!

39 wks - what?

So I'm officially the most prego I have ever been. I know I shouldn't be complaining as most women go to their due date and beyond but for someone who delivered #1 11 days early and #2 at 9 days early, patience is hard to come by. Well this little one is enjoying every minute of time in my belly, I guess. He/she is getting rather large too. The pregnancy bulletin that I get every week so close to 7lbs well this little one is way over that. But I guess their is nothing wrong with a big strong healthy baby coming out tipping the scales in the 8-9lb range. At least I hope this little one doesn't plump up to the 10lb range although I know a lot of ladies who have delivered one of the those.

Well thankfully my blood pressure was pretty good again today at my visit so I could wait it out. I was dilated to 3 and 70% effaced. And they attempted to stir things up a bit but we will see if that does anything. Each night I have some pretty strong contractions yet they just fizzle out. Just preparing me for the real deal again, I guess.

I know I should take some pics or something, especially of my feet when I have been up and around for awhile. They look pretty huge and they tingle which is super annoying.

I should be packing while I am waiting but I can't stand a giant mess so I have slowly gone to work on the kids clothes and such but this weather just makes me want to sit outside and watch my kiddos play.

Lets just say we've been watching a lot of movies & playing a lot of this...

Our world is spinning!

Well...we sold our house! What! Yes. We sold our house.  It is a total God thing and huge answer to prayer for this mama who was really really tired of showing it!

A few weeks back, my entire family was together. We were able to spend some time in prayer for another as there are some pretty large life changes going on. So my mom specifically prayed that we would not show our house to another person other than the buyer. The next week, I got a call from a woman who was moving from Arizona and they were wondering if they could see it without a realtor (Praise the Lord)  on Friday. I said that would work. She looked at it without her husband and with her dad that day and seemed really interested. We thought she was the one! I had a pretty good feeling that Tuesday when she called even. Well...someone else emailed us on Saturday night during the clones game wondering if they could see it Sunday morning. Real convenient, right. We agreed to show it at 10am. They never ever responded - no email, no show, nothing! D and I joked that they were struck down or something. Then we received a couple of emails from the lady who looked at it Friday, regarding utilities, etc.

Then Friday rolled around and we got an offer! Wahoo! We were super excited. It was a little lower than we expencted. But after a couple of emails we came to agreement! We got the signed purchase agreement and a pre-approval letter. We have the home inspection this Friday and we would close on the house around May 1st. SUPER CRAZY, right?

We have a new baby ready to enter this world any day and we are gonna pack up and move in with my parents as we begin to build a new home. Are we insane?  I literally ask myself that question each morning.

Wow. Our God is so amazing, right? In the last three weeks we haven't shown our house to anyone which is incredible because the weather is awesome out and we had been showing it at least a couple times a week. His timing is always perfect too. It will be a challenge to live with my parents - not that they aren't super but its just change. So won't summer/early fall be the perfect time! I love that town during that time of year anyways! Also we have a few weeks at home with this new little one and hopefully I am a little more agile to get packed and ready with an infant rather than a large belly.

Of course...also a little update on our littlest. Had appointment Monday and due to nap and the kids staying at home with Aunt Em, my blood pressure was normal - it had been pretty high the last couple of visits. Otherwise, they would have possibly induced me. Uck! I am dilated to a 2 and 60% effaced for all the other mamas out there that no the routine. I am getting closer but still no little one yet. This is the week for me if this baby follows suit to the routine Shadd and Ellsyn decided to take.  Today is day 11 from my due date. I have been having lots of contractions but nothing hard or consistent. So we will see. Each day D and I joke that it will be today but I know he is praying for a delivery around Thursday so he can enjoy March Madness in the hospital! If his prayers are as powerful and fervent as my mom's - Thursday will be the day! Although, Ells is the 17th and Shadd is the 18th so the 16th would be more logical. The anticipation is fun and I just can't wait to meet this newest arrival.

Baby Shower for Shaye

So this last weekend, we hosted a baby shower in honor of my sis and her new baby girl, Shaye. It was such a great turnout and a lot of fun. It sure was sad to see them return home today. Since they were here a couple of weeks, we were fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with them.

Of course, Em and I had fun putting the shower together...I think my favorite part was the decorations and the invites.  We used my silhouette machine for the invites and the banner ... plus a few other details. And the tissue poms were something I have wanted to try forever. Kudos to my brother and Dad for hanging them up.

The guest of honor

Lounging in her 1st outfit. She blew out and wore brown the rest of the day!

Of course, she had to nurse in the middle of the shower

Kels opening a ton of adorable girl clothes and necessities!

All in all, we survived the day! I was a little worried my water might break or something. But this little one wanted to stay inside and not make his/her appearance quite yet.

Winter walk with our cousins

So I am a little crazy and can't seem to get enough crisp clean air this time of year. In fact, if it is above 30 degrees we spend at least 30 minutes outside running in and out of our garage. So my sis and I were watching my other niece last week too and we bundled them all up and took a walk.  We even tried to feed the ducks down at the pond. For some reason the ones that frequent our nearest pond never seem too interested in the food we bring them.

shaye just peeking out. enjoying the warm nap

still can't seem to get him to ride the bike - always chooses the scooter

throwing rather large chunks of bread to the ducks

all bundled for the stroller ride

enjoying a friendly shared pillow

Little miss momma

So we had the privilege of hosting Aunt Kels and little baby Shaye this past week. It has been such great practice for Ells and Shadd having a newborn around. They both dote on her and I think she enjoys all the action. We did have a few accidents, like Shadd tossing something to me over Shaye and Ells forcefully giving her a car to enjoy. Great practice. The only thing that I still find a little daunting is this little one's sleep schedule. Shaye is a party animal till about midnight. Not great for a prego or a tired momma!

Say what?

Lets just say the octave in our house has gotten a whole lot louder. I feel for this little one's arrival -- He/She won't get any real peaceful sleep.

A love for tracks

Shadd has a supreme love for tracks. We have at least 6 tracks for different cars/trains/trucks, etc.  Of course, he has his favorites but something he loves to do with Papa/Frama is to rig up some sweet new course each time he visits.

Oh the power of playdough

If you ever wanna get something done... get out the playdough. Kinda messy but I can at least get a good half hour or so to myself (well for the most part).  Plus some of these facial expressions are classics.
