Baby Update: 35 weeks and counting

So far things are good with baby.

He is growing and so am I.

I'm getting anxious and so are the kiddos to meet this little guy.

I mean come on. I think the practice of loving has fully begun. Can't wait to see this little momma in action soon! She will be such a big help!

Mostly we wanna know if he will have the red hair and look like the boys or if he will look more like ells.

So so thankful for quick easy appointments. Everything has been good which is kinda of shock to me since usually something comes up random. But knock on wood - we are gonna skate through to the end  with this little guy and have the best VBAC possible. At least thats my plan. Only time will tell what God has in store for this little guy.

Still can't quite believe we will soon be a family of 6. It will be a change for sure. Since there is a bit bigger gap between these two...it seems like a much more free and flexible summer so far so I am enjoying that minus the fact I am slow and can't quite handle all that I am used to.

I hate pictures of me pregnant but the kids snapped this one the other day and it just makes me laugh so I thought I had better document this guy a little bit. And d of course took some shots (mostly terrible) at Adventureland too.

The Drive In

We missed all the kid shows last year.

So I just happen to be stalking the website this year because well a drive in movie was a must try this year and we are at the perfect ages.  Well maybe not Sage man but a little better shape then next year.

Thankfully my grandparents live in Newton (home of the one of last remaining drive in theatres around).

My parents wanted to tag along and so did my grandparents. We went out to dinner and then hit up the place to find a spot.

the crew

Lets just say dusk in the summer is pretty late. Way past bedtime. But it was worth it.

next time we will get there a bit earlier or maybe not a Saturday

Of course, the littles couldn't see too great outside the car so inside we went, lawn chairs and all.

And then the movie started. How to Train a Dragon 2. It was cute. My poor momma didn't see much as she entertained the investigator. He was loud and busy as usual. Just thankful he could wander and not be as much of a distraction as he was in the real theatre.

It was a late late night. Like home at 11:30 kinda night but it was fun for all. A recommended must try for anyone who loves movies.

The Zoo

Friends of ours from church asked us to hit up the zoo with them. Between the four of us their are a ton of kiddos. The picture below doesn't even include the two babies plus this little guy I tote around all day and night inside my belly.

We had a picnic and i won't forget my conversation with Shadd as we left.

Me: "what was your favorite animal today?"
Shadd: "well we didn't see an elephant, a gorilla, a bear, a cheetah, pause....

Me: "Lets focus on what we did see."
Shadd: blank stare

Not sure exactly is favorite but Sage loved it! He keeps asking to go back to the zoo. We will head to the big zoo soon and hopefully it won't disappoint!

Playing in the rain

So our summer bucket list as a alot of costly items on it, so I we tried our best to add a few freebies to the mix.

And since it has been raining hard lately...we got to cross this one off the list.

Notice the boots. Nice uh? Well Sage's winter ones don't fit so he just got his tennies all wet and the other two were perfectly cool with wearing their snow boots.

My three sweets

We were outside so I attempted some pics of these three sweeties.

I think these capture the attitudes and silliness of these three perfectly.

Summer Begins

We have made our usual summer bucket list. It is pretty lengthy and doubtful we will hit them all but we have gotten a start.

mini golf. not sure the little two were worth paying for but i guess there isn't an age limit. next time we might just ask for a club. I mean $5 for a two year old. What a joke?

Thankfully it wasn't too busy and I think they had fun. Its something Shadd has been wanting to do ever since last year. I just wish it was a bit more creative golf course but still fun. We started keeping score but as usual D started to eat me alive so we just played for fun! Surprise. surprise.

went to a new park. we headed to another small town to check out a park we had driven by once. it was a fun change of scenery and had some fun stuff to do.

go to the pool again and again. we are doing our best to tackle the pool as often as we can this year. its been a bit cooler and with vbs all last week it was tough. plus it is just way more fun with friends or daddy.

plus when the days are long you can usually find us outside playing either in the front with our thousand neighborhood kiddos or in the back.

Soccer Wrap-up

Team Ninjas...played the last game at 11:00 and it was hot.

They did awesome and had a ton of fun.

Shadd improved a ton. He loved it. He still lacks the aggression that others possess but I think it will come.

VBS: Son Treasure Island

My crew

Singing songs

This year Ells could do VBS. She had a blast although stuck to big bro like glue. He was a trooper though and let her hang out with him. They love the songs and all the actions.

Shadd said the memory verse one day with a second grader up in front of everyone. He won a beach ball. He was pumped and this momma was glowing with pride. Ells played a game and won some sunglasses. They both had a blast and wish it was longer than a week.

However, this momma was tired. a whole week of busting our chops to get the 20 minutes from here to Wtown wore on this mama (i mean how come it starts at 8:30) and we even stayed a grandma's one day. Still worth every moment if it means one little one felt the love of Christ.

We got the actions down and have a full set of 5 songs we can preform if there are any requests.

Plus Sage loved VBS and he of course associated it with the nursery where he hung out and watched movies and played. He did make the occasional request for cinnamon rolls as he loves to eat one after church nursery, so logical thought of course.

Sweet Cousins

I'm ever so thankful my kiddos get to grow up with their cousins. They love each other and enjoy seeing on another. We didn't live super close to any of our cousins growing up and we weren't super close in age. I just pray that they continue to enjoy each other.

Gotta watch out for these crazies 2 year olds. Wanted mommy's shoes on.

A perfect day for tea

One day I traded the girls for the boys with our friends. They had a blast and so did the boys. We will have to continue this sweet tradition!

I'm just amazed at how quiet and calm our house was for those three hours. Pure peace!

We do dance parties

Probably not typical. But well we aren't. So thankful for music and sound out on the deck. So we get to do dance parties on the deck in the summer. In the winter in front of the fireplace blazing with all the lights off and most of all the kitchen, where all the greatest moves were made I'm sure.

Sage thought he'd capture the moment this way
