z 10 months

Zephen is 10 months old

This guy is growing like  a weed and doing more and more things everyday.

hey what is this thing doing anyways?

Like walking and fast.

Like talking - mama and dada and I kinda think ball but sometimes I have a tendency to hear greatness out of my kiddos mouths.

He is still a momma's boy.
He loves to play games like basketball (i swear he grabbed a ball and walked to the hoop nearby just the other day - he has yet to repeat it so d doesn't quite believe me), tear down legos,  climb up on things like the fireplace, all the stairs, and the dishwasher if open. He loves peek a boo and to be tickled.

He mostly smiles or hangs at your (my) feet.

Sleep: I finally let the poor guy cry it out one night. Took two times to reassure and only 30 minutes. And only one night. Why did I not do that one sooner. So he has been going to bed around 730 or 8 and sleeping tip 545 to 630. Not too bad. Then he is our workout buddy along with whatever other kiddos come down and join us in that way too small of room each morning.

He officially took a few steps just after he turned 10 months. And he has been getting more and more brave and I would now say a couple weeks later he is totally walking (well 80% of the time).

He loves to the rock the wrinkled up nose look. Best smile in the world!
He is a charmer. Kinda like his brother Sage.

He loves to play outside and spends anytime we are awake either tagging along with his siblings or outside swinging and toddling around or being pushed like a crazy dude in his pink car (oh thank you Ells)

He also loves to eat - eating pretty much everything we do. And if he doesn't like it well we will find it nicely thrown all over the floor. Sometimes if I'm not quick with the vacuum he will be back for seconds.

Here are some quick pics of his room too - nothing like 10 months later (at least one side - the light isn't the greatest in there, maybe I will attempt some more someday!

Raindrop

Have you heard of the newest craze?

Its the raindrop.

D's version of the mohawk. Narrow at the top and fat in the back. Mostly due to cowlick problems.

Side note - one of the mom's in my neighborhood asked where he got it done as her son was requesting one. I think D was pretty proud.

Summer Week 3

Summer Week 3 - this is the way to blog. At least for the craziness summer brings. I'm trying to enjoy it but it is going by so so fast.

Well we finally got that water wall made. I personally think the kids were umber impressed I could use the screwgun. Little did they know I could build them a water wall. (note - needs some tweaks but it made for a fun afternoon and some jealous neighbors :)

We also ordered our groceries online. Amazing. Have since done it twice. It works awesome. Just need to tweak my lbs fruit knowledge. Like more than a couple bananas please. We are a family of six and a baby who eats at least a banana a day. Thankfully it makes my second run to Sams or Fareway super fast and easy.

We have a had some rainy days. So game playing it is. And Ells is finally able and willing to challenge Shadd which frees me up sometime too.

Last day of golf camp - rained out the previous week one day. He loved it. He also had a his first golf playdate. They play three holes. He is really improving and I think daddy heart might burst from pride.

Hitting up the pool with our cousins and Frama. Always fun and so so helpful to have extra hands.

Sometimes we nap (even Shadd) but otherwise we have a hot game of something going on. He whipped up on me this afternoon.

On thursday we headed to Big Creek with Grandma D. We had a blast. Got super dirty but enjoyed the picnic at Grandmas and the fun in the lake and sand. Plus the giant park there was so cool.

Friday - we washed the car - quite the crew and an awesome summer fun thing! Plus free!

Summer Week 2

Big week for us...
VBS every day & golf camp too

VBS was a blast. Fun filled mornings. But always gets a little crazy to get packed up and out of the house by 8 at the latest. So thankful for my mom and her ability to watch Z some as he got sick later in the week.

 Tried some new homemade popsicles.

Playing in the sand box and outside with water guns, sprinklers, you name it!

We hit the pool. In between vbs and golf camp.

Golf Camp - we dropped Shadd off three days in the afternoon for golf camp. He loved it and had a blast. He gets to play at the club on Thursdays so that will be fun too. He cracks me up and he looked so big and so much like his daddy dressed to the nines in golf wear.

We were lucky enough to hang out with our friends from college and their sweet little k who is a couple months younger than Z. They will be best buds and maybe college roomies someday.

With long summer days - we look like this sometimes. Even momma!

Shadd Baseball

Wow. This guy looked big and legit this year. Maybe it was the baseball pants or the fact he is almost 7. Yikes. How did that happen?

He loved playing and loved it when he got to hit from the coaches pitches.

Of course, both grandpas and grandmas got to come and watch and even some of our aunts and uncles. His brothers and sister loved the games and snuck in some snacks. It took a little bit of getting used to having a couple of nights of the week at baseball but it was fun and someday we will be all over the place with the boys and ells i'm sure. just still trying to savor the slowness of this season!
