Laz 7 months

I kinda fell in love with this little guys profile in this pic. Well 7 months means he barely sits still. He's another crazy go getter. He finally is moving all over the place. Still not officially up on all fours crawling but this guy gets around.

He nurses still once a night usually around 4ish and then goes back down til 6:30 usually in time to nurse and workout with d and i.

He eats three meals a day. Sweet potatoes are his favorite. Still doesn't like any finger foods. No puffs or cherrios for this dude.

He doesn't even put anything in his mouth really. Kind of a blessing maybe as this place would be a treasure chest for a little kid. Food is always and I mean always on the floor as well as small legos, coins, you name it!

He loves to play with toys. His favorites are the bow wow dog, his monkey rattle and any and all of my dryer balls.

He's still my little side kick most of the time. But he is still a smiley happy go lucky dude. He has had a little cold here and there and now has four teeth. Well close anyway the top two are still working there way in. He loves to play with everyone and thankfully they are all great help.

He naps usually three times a day and I just sing him a quick song and put him down and cover him up with his favorite blankies and he tucks them around with his arms.

Still getting used to those blue eyes but I still think he looks just like Shadd! And his red hair is a for sure. I think it will stick.  Who would have ever guessed I'd have three red heads. Crazy!

Getting closer and closer to 1. How is that happening so fast!

Basketball

We had two ball players this year. Ells had been counting down the weeks til basketball. Its her favorite sport currently.

So with two playing - we tried out the y league thinking it would be right down the road. well it was for shadd but ells was way over in an elementary by jordan creek.

We watched a lot of basketball for 8 weeks but it was nice it was just sunday afternoons. we are dragging our feet as long as we possibly can on any of this traveling team, practice throughout the week and hang out in the gym all weekend kinda thing. We know its quickly approaching but until then we will just savor our weekends at home doing much of nothing!

They both had fun and grew a ton. Shadd probably would enjoy something a little bit more next year but it was great to see him understand the game and just continue to improve his fundamentals.

Shadds team had to fill in for the the other team as they only had three players the last game. Kinda annoying. But they got to work against each other too so that is sometimes fun.

Artwork

one of my goals for 2017 is to be stay up to date on organization. well baby steps i tell ya and with a baby its probably all i can do.

heres to hopeful thinking though.
so i tackeled a school thing project. i purchased filing bins and created labels and put some files in each one labeled with the school year. even preschool for z and sage because well they do some pretty cute stuff at home and i just hate to not have that stuff someday.  so they are all downstairs in the boys closet because well its huge. but i also thought i'd take some pictures of my favorites to have them in our blog book too.

these are shadd's

and ellsyn's

and why not with a little freedom at home, grab a mirror and draw a self portrait. never a dull moment around here i tell ya.

Z potty training

I can't believe this guy is actually ready for this but well we had a few free days in the beginning of january so i thought why not.

And he got it. We had a few accidents but mostly success. One almost near poopy pants situation at the library but otherwise not bad.

And unlike some of my children he even goes number #2 in the potty. He loves a good treat for a success which we have now weaned him from finally thankfully. And of course Sage gets one too for moral support so between those two and the bigs when they got home we actually ate all our christmas candy.
Little boys are so stinking cute. And little chubby legs in undies. well there is just nothing sweeter!

and the first big #2 success deserved a trip to dq. yep he's got this
