Swimming Lessons

Since we now live in our hometown we get all the little perks that go along with it. You know like knowing kids that I used to babysit that can now babysit for me. Well one little perk was private swimming lessons from a great young man that we've known for years. He is the best! And has the biggest and best heart in the world. I just can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for him and his future.

Shadd said he would go under - a fear we still haven't quite conquered- with some goggles. So he and dad headed up to DG and picked up a pair. Still didn't quite work but he made some great strides and just getting instruction and confidence in the water apart from mommy and daddy.

Racing with Josh

"Look Josh, my mom's taking our picture"

He loved everything, especially the big slides. On the last day, Josh started to push him a bit more. Took him under on the slide - didn't go over super well as you can see above. Also let him start doing the kick board on his own. Just a slight panic in the picture below.

diving for rings - or at least reaching for them
Josh is always super sweet - one reason he will make an excellent teacher someday soon! He even graciously took Ells down the slide a couple times!

Again - just another perk of small town living.
