Our little pro (ZJ) is One

Birthdays are a big deal around here. I mean we go all out. Maybe because they were a big deal to me as a kiddo (i mean mine does sneak right in after Christmas in all).

Anyways and whats a even bigger deal. Z is one! How did that happen already.

Well we celebrated alright!
And he enjoyed every moment of it!

The invites were sent. Always so much fun to design and send invites - maybe in my next life!

The house decorated. Even Shadd got to help - Love this drawing.

The guests arrived and the party began! We have a packed house! It was sweet corn festival so we were planning on the parade but with the rain decided to forgo. In addition we had a sweet new niece born earlier that morning.

We decorated golf visors.

And then we had fun with cake. Z was a champ. Probably the best eater of all four of mine. It is always a blast to watch them dive into it!

I can hardly believe this guy is one. Wow.

So what is new...

Sleep: All night. From about 8 til 6:30. Naps still most mornings and most afternoons or some late mornings tip early afternoon. Getting close to one nap a day!

Eating: Still nursing (as of today Sept 1st still holding onto the last night feeding). Loving all foods and some whole milk which made the transition a lot easier.  Loves fruit, popcorn and anything sweet!

Latest: Loves to read books, especially with flaps and things to feel. He loves animals and can make certain noises. He loves to mimic sounds and was even playing the kazoo this morning. He loves to follow everyone around. He can climb stairs but still doesn't understand how to go down them or when to sit on slide at the park (many a quick runs for me this fall already).  He loves to dance and clap his hands. He has been making a funny face when we take pictures lately.  He gets picked on a lot by Sage but is starting to hold his own. Loves the pantry and has been known to dump out whole boxes of cereal or crackers. Always makes a made dash for an open door or gate to the stairs. Loves the drawers in the kitchen and even dumped the grease jar out the other day.

He is a busy busy boy and keeps me on my toes but wouldn't want it any other way! Love him to pieces! Nothing sweeter than a babe turned toddler. What a difference one year makes.
