Last day of School

Its official...

Last day is in the books (well like almost two weeks of summer as i am so far behind typing this) Shadd is now a first grader.

How did that happen?

Well he did awesome. Always had great report cards. Exceeded expectations but most importantly was a role model in his class, well behaved for his teachers, and was someone his teachers could look to for anything. That is what makes this momma super proud.

He loved everything but especially writing and math.

I asked him if he wished he could have just stayed home and hung out with me and he said "no mom. it was so much fun! Plus I come home every night and hang out with you."

He grew up. In one year he went from a timid little boy to a confident young boy. It has been so much fun to see him blossom and mature. He has confidence and isn't afraid to be on his own or give something a try.

He wrote some great stories and has really really improved his reading skills and I can't wait to see what 1st grade brings!

Of course...our photo shoot ended like this...
