V day baking
We rarely bake sugar cookies at our house. I mean we do know the sugar cookie queen. (D's mom) But there is something about cookie hearts.
We make them every year. So we made the dough early and did the baking at lunch and the decorating after Shadd got home from school.
Lets just say they were delicious but we tried our best to get rid of them so we didn't eat them all.

Bigs and Littles
Not sure what I would do without the bigs in my house. They do a lot to help the littles. Shadd is a huge help. Sometimes I forget how he is still really a peanut too. Fun seeing them blossom into big brothers.

Its worth trying
Sometimes I am able to embrace the chaos. It usually just lasts a few hours before my insides go crazy. You know like wearing jammies all day. I'm just not that type of momma (if you are awesome). I wish I could be a little more go with the flow.
But sometimes I do let loose. Like building forts in my living room. Pillow fights. Or jumping off couches.
It lasts a bit and then I snap into my normal "i hate clutter everywhere self" and they all snap back to the reality of picking up AGAIN. Its no wonder they love daddy! He can handle chaos and clutter better than me.
Hopefully you too can choose to go against the grain. I want them to remember me as a fun mom so it might be messy and crazy around here but we will have fun.
Snow Day
We haven't gotten a ton of snow but when we did get it. We got it dumped on us. We enjoyed sledding on our hill while Z was napping. Sage lasted for just a few but the other two played till their cheeks were rosy.

zephen - 6 months
Z is 6 months
Wow.
So what's new with this dude.
Sleep: Much better the last few nights. Knock on wood. He slept till around 5 going down at 7:30 or so. He then looks totally wide awake at 5 but I have been putting him down and jumping back in bed fingers crossed and he has been drifting back to sleep. AMAZING! He is going down for naps by himself which is a huge time saver. No more rocking/swaying. He naps a few times a day and usually takes one longer one but it depends if we are home or running around.
Eating: He is doing a couple meals most days. Sometimes with his teeth he isn't too interested. He loves sweet potatoes. Loves banana and oatmeal. Not a huge fan of squash or avocado but will eat it if I give him some time. He loves baby mum mums though. Haven't ventured out too far yet but maybe we will get a little more crazy this month.
Teeth: He's got his two bottom teeth. (this pic just shows the one - it came up a bit before the other)
Moving: He is still army crawling but he is fast. Sometimes he moves on all fours but only for a bit. He can go from sitting to crawling and almost back to sitting. He loves to jump and bounce.
He loves that johnny jumper. So thankful it fits on at least one door.
Playing a little peek a boo with the laundry. Took him a bit to figure out how to get it off. So funny.
Overall he is just a smiling machine. Full of love and expression. I think 6 months might be my favorite age.
Plus a quick photo shoot with his siblings. Oh the love. Fill my heart!

Projects
A new year means new projects, more free time (because its winter and no more holidays) and no more pop.
We are trying to eat healthy, lose weight, workout and we gave up pop for the whole year (yep like all 2015). I think we might be crazy but if I get D on board well I can't cheat so we will stick to it don't you worry.
Now on to the fun stuff....just some random projects to use up some of my goods that a overflowing and have a little fun.
My first stuffed doll. Really easy and fun. Still needs her face but oh hand sewing yuck!
Some Big Sister sweatshirts for a dear friend. Three girls and they were given a boy! So excited for this new world for them!
Some antlers. Just cut and glued to a pillow that came with my couch. Love it much better. D says it should have been a moose head but what does he know anyways.
And my first book page wreath. Not to hard. Free with just the random crap I have laying around this place and perfect for my mom's house. Used up a couple old books and a whole lot of hot glue gun scars but fun to do and it probably won't be my last.

Eating Big Food
I held off but lack of sleep made me try some food and He LOVES it.
So far...avocado, sweet potatoes & banana
Going to do a little oatmeal tonite to see if it will let him sleep a bit longer.
And when I say LOVE. I mean LOVE.
He knew exactly what to do. No prying this guys mouth open. Nope.
He swallowed and barely spit anything out. And he loves my sound affects.
All smiles. At least until we run out.
