Shadd broke his arm

So early April we had our first run in with a broken bone. Shadd was playing soccer with a neighbor and got kicked in the arm by the ball (mind you). Complained and cradled his arm for the rest of the night and the next day didn't want to go to school.

So we headed to the urgent ortho clinic. Mind you mondays are not the day to go! 1.5 hours later in the waiting room with these three crazies...But we got in and diagnosed with a a couple breaks in his right arm.

So he got a pretty sweet orange cast! He picked the color. And he thought it was pretty cool for about 1 day. Then it got annoying, rubbed sometimes playing basketball. I really should have taken a video of his granny shot knockout style with our neighborhood boys!

He got some signatures and well a bit bummed that he couldn't play soccer. We had one moment of crying watching his team play his friends in a scrimmage. Thankfully he could practice and write still at school.

After 4 weeks - all healed up!

And he got the cast off! Happy day at our house! He seems to be as good as new too!
