Soccer & Flag Football

Well fall sports are under way. We were only going to do one thing but a late night call and next thing you know we are coaching and playing flag football along with coaching soccer. And when you agree to things it seems like I never have the calendar out in front of me and then once we get going I am overwhelmed. And only two of ours are doing anything right now. Saddle up partner. It will be a fun ride.

But we are trying to enjoy the moments we have chosen and evaluate for the future each decision we make. Its a crazy beginning of the week with everything falling on mon and tuesday but the rest of the week is slower.

Fall just seems to be the total extreme from the no regular commitment summer. Or at least the lax attitude with schedules etc that summer holds.

Shadd is loving it. Ells is loving it. We are enjoying it and surprisingly no one is too bad even though we eat supper at 7 on Tuesday nights and eat lots of snacks at the football games.

But cultivating relationships and living/playing in our community is what Jesus is calling us to this new season so we are embracing it and trying not to stress over the piling laundry and dishes!

So soccer....

In a higher division with lots of kiddos who haven't played before. Its been a tough road but we are improving each game. Shadd has scored a few times already!

And Coach Mike is fun! He is singing and playing for a birthday on the team!

 And flag football...

So far Shadd has scored a couple touchdowns and really enjoyed the games and well D has a knack for coaching and I think he really enjoys it.

I, however, don't watch much of the game and try my best to keep these three off the field and out of trouble. Usually snacks and suckers work but an hour is a LONG time.
