We got to celebrate the fourth with D's family. His sister's town has an amazing parade, fireworks and we got to spend the whole day there celebrating. We were exhausted and slept in the next day till almost 9 (all of us). If you would have told me that a few years ago I would have laughed hysterically. We used to be early (EARLY) risers around here.
We got quite the loot when it came to candy at the parade. Sage loved the horses again. Shadd had the idea of making 4th of July baskets out of recycling materials thanks to a magazine he gets. And those buckets were overflowing.
plus fourth of july nails, right? |
Some peeps let off a few early fireworks and laterns. They thought that was awesome.
Then there were amazing sparklers. Ells did get a small burn on her face but she was soon back at it!
With grandma and grandpa...Sage eating constant snacks. I think he only ate chips and fruit and cookies all day!
And then beautiful fireworks. The day is always extra special because its D's birthday (with Christ) and its been 14 years and still brings tears to my eyes how God orchestrated and spoke directly to his heart!
