Laz 6 months

Half way...how quickly time passes?

Well we started some food. You did really great! You liked the avocado. Not the banana. Although now I feel like its the other way around. You love sweet potatoes and squash and still not sure if anything should be cold like yogurt.

And you look so big in your high chair

You love to wiggle and spend time on the floor. You have the best back muscles. We find you in full superman most of the time. You started rocking on all fours. And spin moves.

Like I said some one will always hold you!

The bumbo was pretty short lived. You don't like to be without reach of whatever is out of reach. So mostly we just propped pillows around you for throw backs or sat behind you. It was short lived too.

You are also the happiest, smiliest baby I have ever had or known. You wake up happy. Two teeth appeared one day and really probably the fussiest you've ever been was for like an hour after shots once. Otherwise just a happy go lucky dude.

And you are loud. Well are any of our children not? Nope. In the mornings you just jabber on. Making all sorts of sounds and chatting it up.

Laz 5 months

5 months. Wow!

Well you were still getting up in the night. Starting to sit with assistance. Rolling over. Eating a lot. Started to go down on your own for naps! And finding toys and the exersaucer interesting. You love to laugh. Ticklish under your neck. And laugh at Sage when he makes a buzzing noise. And Shadd can get you to laugh too. Ells enjoys holding you! Actually everyone does! And you graduated to the duck tub! Wahoo!

Laz 4 months

So sorry buddy but I can't really remember what you were doing. Still spitting up for sure. Growing and into six to nine mon clothes. Chewing on your hands and a couple teeth popped up after you turned 5 months. Love rolling over. Love sleeping on your tummy. Starting to wake at night again. Too good to be true I guess. Sweet and Snuggly. Love being in on all the action. Still like momma to carry you around!

Howells

With two free days in the fall what do you do? Hit up a couple orchards and pumpkin patches. We drug dad along this time and we had a blast!

Howells isn't far from our house and we had fun playing in the farmyard, racing cars, playing in the corn maze and followed it up with a stop at Firehouse subs!

Ells Star Student

Ells was honored in October as a Star Student. Each child is nominated by their teacher for something they have done.

Of course I have terrible pictures and she was super cooperative at school 😉! We took the boys so we kinda didn't hang around for long!

We are so proud of her and how hard she works at school!

Labor Day = Broken Elbow

The weekend was supposed to be pretty low key...

Well a small bike ride around our neighborhood turned into a 6 week adventure

Shadd, Sage, Z and I went for a cruise.

We were gonna race home and Sage decided to head to the sidewalk - which is a quick left turn right in front of me. He clipped met front tire but made it home. However, mama wasn't as lucky. My bike fell and z was in the trailer behind. I landed on my left arm and skinned up my legs. I rode home embarrassed and shocked. It always happens so fast. D was mowing so I showed him. He chuckled.

Later that day my arm was really hurting at the elbow joint so I went to the er to get things checked out. Sure enough. Radial head fracture. Most common in women 30-40. Why? Probably due to freak falls.

Well a broken elbow and a baby aren't exactly a good combination. So friends and family to the rescue. For two weeks I had help every day! What a life saver! Didn't get pics of everyone but wow did they help out with meals, laundry, holding and rocking and delivering laz to me. We wouldn't have survived without them!

Its not always easy to take help. Especially when you can move around and such! But we loved having our time with some very special people. When I started to fly solo again - I got pretty good one armed. Getting Laz in and out of bed. Food prepped, laundry folded. Its all harder with one arm than you think!
