Christmas Adam

Did you know that Christmas Adam is Christmas eve eve? I had never heard of such a thing. Oh the finds of instagram I guess. Well we had our Christmas dinner this night.

We set the table. Had some stuff that flopped like my rolls that I forgot to set out to let rise the second time so they were a bit dense. And then I put all my crust of the cheesecake on the bottom and not the sides too. OH my word. Sometimes I wonder how my head even stays attached. It can only get better right? Tell me I'm right. But we are all about memories and traditions and that is where it is at.

at least it tasted good!

Of course you have to open a present or two. We got matching jammies well kinda of all matching. I need to start earlier next year. They totally loved that so I will keep that tradition going! And it made for way more festive Christmas morning too! 

Christmas at the Livingstons

We are so lucky to celebrate Christmas multiple times as our families both live close and this year we got to spread it out with different weekends with Christmas falling on a weekend itself. 

We got things kicked off at D's parents. His mom has some of the best christmas decorations around and it is so nostalgic and winter wonderland like. She transforms everything. 

We got to enjoy opening socks (which i think they've purchases some new ones over the years as our family keeps growing) - those are stockings. And they wrap all the goodies in them. I still don't know how long that takes them! 

 And then the snowman - brought the kids a big gift to unwrap together. It was pajamas for all of them. Sage was a little disappointed in his striped jammies vs z's paw patrol ones. He said "these are stupid" and then decided they were okay as they matched his cousin m's thankfully. But then the next day he told grandma, "i guess that snowman didn't know that I like paw patrol too"  Oh Sager. If you want an honest opinion, he's your man. No filter!

We all got to spend the night, watch movies, play games and then open gifts and enjoy the snow the next day! So much fun!

Shadd's Christmas Concert (2nd grade)

One of the many things I love about living in a small town! Grade concerts. Our music teacher does such a great job. This is half of Shadd's 2nd grade class. They do split performances to accommodate all the spectators. 

He had a dance to perform. It was so cute. And fun to watch these boys and girls dance and sing. They had some classic christmas songs and some fun new ones.  Of course my zoom camera was in the shop so I couldn't get super close shots!

And of course we practically take up a row ourselves.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Well Christmas kinda came early...Uncle T let us borrow their wii. Since the new nintendo system is coming out soon we hated to buy a wii u at full price so long live the wii. And since we have the option to play Mario everyday, Sage's life is now complete. Don't worry I don't even begin to let them play as much as he talks about Mario.

Sage = Mario all day every day. I think he dreams about Mario!

A quick picture of our house all lit up. Not the best but my good camera was in the shop. D lit up the back of the house too. and all our little trees in the frond and side too! Love love Christmas lights. 

One night we drove around our neighborhood  (no seat belts) and looked at ligths. It was a blast! 

An elf arrived. We named him Chilly. (note - shade started crying one morning because all the other kids in his class have an elf and such and he hasn't had one at school since kindergarten. and it has been on his christmas list for three years now. 😁😂 i mean come on santa send the kid an elf. so he showed up about a week before christmas. pure magic! and who doesn't love a good game of hide and seek. always a favorite around here! 

We wrote to Santa and he wrote back

We took a trip to see Santa and rode the train. We even ate out! Living on the wild side these days! Blaze pizza was amazing and I would highly recommend. 

Obviously Z wasn't too happy. As we approached Santa he started backing up and saying "no". Santa grabbed him and this is what we got. One of these days we will get dressed and look the part right rather than this crazy ole bunch of bums like usual. Oh well.

We wrapped presents and I had great help! And well my room looked like a bomb went off for at least a month! 

We decorated the tree and the house too

D found the perfect spot for it at this house and it worked out awesome since we didn't have to move much furniture. Double bonus! 

And the kids worked on the downstairs tree. Not sure what z is thinking here but thats quite the jump and forbidden around here.

Christmas Bingo, dance parties and piggy back rides were a fun treat at night. 

And christmas light scavenger hunt again this year with coffee and hot chocolate! We almost found them all. 

We had fun celebrating the season with lots to do! But still time to remember the real reason we get to celebrate! 

Ryder Cup

These two hit up the Ryder Cup this fall. It only happens every other year and only every four on US territory. Its a match play golf tourney that took place in Minnesota. The US won over Europe! Its been a long time since we won so it was fun to watch and experience. It was a christmas gift that was worth waiting for! 

Our friends went along too making it even more fun! 

It was a fun trip. And we love a good golf tournament. We will get some more action this year. D is headed to the Masters in April and we are taking the two big ones to the US Open in June. Should be fun!
