We Moved

It started with a lot of packing...then some great help! And tada we moved. Took us a little over a day with help and lots of unpacking and we are pretty settled now a few weeks later.

Some of our favorites things about the house...one of these days I'll clean for company and take pictures. We love our theatre room.

Mom's built in shelves. I was chicken last time to style them but its been fun and I love old stuff and pictures of my babies.

We moved in unpainted and stone and a few extra punch list type stuff that they worked on the first week or so we lived here. It was a little weird having people pounding, nailing and just around all the time but we kinda got used to it after awhile.

Of course we were all super tired after a weekend like that...this is at like 5 in evening. after nap and everything!
We are exploring the streets around our neighborhood. Not that much regular traffic.
Naptime in the basement one day in order to avoid the pounding and mexican music blaring outside z's window!
I love my new farmhouse sink and pot filler!

We are getting used to the mud/dirt everywhere. Will be thankful for the grass!
Our play house got moved...
And we love love our new patio and fire pit
I'm sure there are a ton of other favorite things about the new place but that is a start!

Sage turns 4

Can you believe this little guy is 4?

Just a little bit bigger but still the same ole sweetie!

So whats new with this guy!
He loves snacks - granola bars, fruit snacks, oreos and mostly junk
He loves Mario - like everything and anything Mario. He loves super Mario the best! He's not great but he's gotten a ton better since they actually let him play rather than saying he was Mario with a non working controller only for Shadd or Dad to be playing Mario. Deceptive yes and he was pretty disappointed in how terrible he was at first!
He loves to do school - like all the time (however he struggles a bit with memorizing letters and numbers and sounds but he has made huge progress.
He loves to pester Z - probably his number one thing that gets him into trouble ( and whining)
He's sweet, tender hearted, funny, likes attention, wild, and a tad crazy!

He wanted to celebrate with his two best friends - the girl shaye and the guy micah (well it didn't work for m so him and shaye celebrated with monkey joes and some ice cream!

It kinda shocked me but they wanted to just go after about an hour of jumping and running around.

then we of course we got ice cream (chocolate - sage's favorite) and got to play with everyone else when we returned.
Dad doctored up some pancakes for the big day at Frama and Papa's house (thankfully frama had candles on hand)

It was Easter this year so we had celebrations but Grandma D made it special for Sage and made him a cake with Oreos (another favorite) and he got to open up a present from Aunt K and Uncle T.

Plus when we got home he got to open his presents from us, which hopefully i'll update this post with a few more pictures off of dad's phone soon! But if i wait til i remember it might be the end of may!

Shadd broke his arm

So early April we had our first run in with a broken bone. Shadd was playing soccer with a neighbor and got kicked in the arm by the ball (mind you). Complained and cradled his arm for the rest of the night and the next day didn't want to go to school.

So we headed to the urgent ortho clinic. Mind you mondays are not the day to go! 1.5 hours later in the waiting room with these three crazies...But we got in and diagnosed with a a couple breaks in his right arm.

So he got a pretty sweet orange cast! He picked the color. And he thought it was pretty cool for about 1 day. Then it got annoying, rubbed sometimes playing basketball. I really should have taken a video of his granny shot knockout style with our neighborhood boys!

He got some signatures and well a bit bummed that he couldn't play soccer. We had one moment of crying watching his team play his friends in a scrimmage. Thankfully he could practice and write still at school.

After 4 weeks - all healed up!

And he got the cast off! Happy day at our house! He seems to be as good as new too!
